Be My Valentine is the fourth episode of The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan.
Plot[]
Ryoko and Tsuruya get into an argument over whether Yuki or Mikuru is cuter, revealing embarrassing things about them to the entire female ranks of the Literature Club to make their points. As her final point, Ryoko reveals that Yuki is planning to make homemade chocolate to give to Kyon on Valentine's Day. Yuki wants to give it to him during club activities, but Ryoko says they should be alone. Ryoko plans to leave the clubroom key with Kyon so that he will arrive first, then have everyone else in the club arrive late so that Yuki will have time alone with Kyon and won't have to wait for him.
On the 13th, everyone but Kyon and Haruhi excuses themselves from Literature Club, so Kyon waits for Haruhi at the school gate to tell her she doesn't have to enter the school (which always carries the risk of her getting into trouble, since she is not a student at North High). Pleased at the gesture, Haruhi spontaneously takes Kyon out on a date. They go to a cafe and try to catch water imps at a river. They bond over Haruhi's interest in the supernatural, as they do in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya universe, and their bickering becomes increasingly playful as the date goes on.
Mikuru and Tsuruya both give Yuki encouragement to go ahead with her plan to give Kyon the chocolate. Yuki is hopeless at making chocolates, even attempting to melt them by putting them in the microwave, so Ryoko gives her guidance. On Valentine's Day Yuki enters the clubroom as planned, but stops short when she sees Kyon happily accepting a bar of chocolate from Haruhi.
