Taniguchi, a student of North High, claimed he found a girlfriend there in December. The student turned out to be Kuyou Suou.
In an alternate reality created by Yuki Nagato, the school was co-ed and specifically designated for students with advanced academic abilities. Haruhi Suzumiya and Itsuki attended it.
