Haruhi decides the SOS Brigade needs a heater during the winter. Luckily, the store they advertised in the Adventures of Mikuru film has promised them one, and she sends Kyon to retrieve it.
Haruhi takes more pictures of Mikuru.
Kyon discovers the store had agreed to give them the heater in return for an advertising spot in their next film, which Haruhi promised.
Kyon returns and falls asleep.
Kyon awakes to realize that Haruhi had been waiting for him to leave. He also discovers a cardigan on him used as a blanket, implied to have been left by Yuki.
Kyon and Haruhi walk home together under an umbrella as Kyon discovers a playful side of Haruhi Suzumiya.

This episode was broadcasted as episode 9 of Season 1, and as episode 28 of Season 2

This episode was written by Nagaru Tanigawa, the original author of the light novels. It was the only episode to have been written by Tanigawa. The script written was published in the August 2006 edition of The Sneaker.

Kyon and Itsuki are playing Dragon All Stars.
Yuki Nagato does not speak in this episode, despite getting a lot of screen-time. Her Japanese and English voice actors were not listed in the ending credits.
